Olivia “Boutwell” Ward has been helping Mathern’s clients save hundreds of dollars since joining the company in 2012! She’s a Carey High School graduate who went on to study secretarial administration at Mt. Vernon Nazarene University. Prior to joining Jerry at Mathern Insurance Agency she applied her skills at an independent engineering testing firm where she oversaw the daily functions of construction materials being tested. Olivia found herself drawn to Mathern Insurance because she loves working with people and finds it exciting when she gets to show people how much they can save on the cost of their insurance when switching to Mathern Insurance Agency. Olivia gets to know each client personally and takes pride in making sure their needs are fully met so they are covered in the case of an unfortunate event. Utilizing her experience and knowledge of the insurance industry, she is a supporter of the client and what is best for you! Olivia is currently working toward becoming a licensed personal lines property and casualty agent for Mathern Insurance Agency.
Olivia is a doting married mother of a beautiful daughter Nicole and an active member of the Ridge Chapel Church of Nazarene. As a huge football fan, she loves rooting for the OSU Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers! She loves spending time with family and friends, especially while watching football!! Olivia also loves taking their Rottweiler Cash out for fun runs on her farm, who she refers to as her “boy”.In her spare time you may find her around town riding bikes with her daughter or catch her nose in a book!
Destiny brings more than 18 years of experience in marketing, communications, hospitality, account management, and public relations to her role as Director of Marketing at Mathern Insurance Agency. Destiny joined Mathern Insurance Agency in September 2013 and is responsible for the marketing, communication and business development efforts of the agency. In addition to strategic business development efforts, she directs media relations, branding, advertising, and website development. She manages and oversees sponsorship’s, events, charitable contributions, and more.
Destiny attended Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire with an academic focus on communications. She holds an A.A. and B.S. in Psychology from the University of Phoenix and is a current APA member. Destiny also holds a certificate in Micro Business Development from the HHWP Community Action Commission.
Before devoting her marketing efforts to Mathern Insurance Agency, Destiny was the Special Projects Director for a marketing firm out of Findlay Ohio where a marketing software program for small business monitoring was created under her oversight. During her tenure, she also held positions in Account Management, Technical Writing, and as the Director of HR at the firm, before finally taking out time to raise her children at home.
Destiny is a married mother of three beautiful children. When she’s not spending time with her family being involved in various athletic events, the arts, or 4-H, she is traveling or volunteering her time as the New Riegel School PTO President, on the Wyandot county 4-H Advisory Council, or for the New Riegel Ball Park.
Destiny’s passion is pursuing lifelong education, “Every experience is a lesson and every day holds new lessons waiting to be learned. You’re never too old or young to learn something new from people, places, or time”. Her favorite hobby is to travel with her family to experience all cultures and art from around the world. Her most favorite place in the world is a draw between Turks and Caicos for its white sandy beaches and 14 mile barrier reef providing picturesque diving opportunities or the Greek Island of Patmos for its labyrinth style architecture with a “palpably spiritual atmosphere”, rich history, and the St. Johns monastery.
